Halebidu Temple 01:

Halebidu is one of the best examples of Hoysala architecture, which is located in Hassan district of Karnataka. It was the regal capital of the Hoysala empire. The temple comprises of two Hindu temples and two Jain temples. There is a row of taller figures of gods and goddesses and various manifestation of Vishnu etc. on the wall, all wonderful works of art. The two garbhagrihas are stellar in shape, and the zigzag exterior wall design here gives wonderful light and shade effect to the figures which look different at different times of the day. This temple has classic friezes and scenes from the epics. This image show the courtyard of the temple.
