This video is a documentation of Dang-er Putul, a rod puppet tradition from Southern 24 Paragana of West Bengal. Indian rod puppets, can be found prominently in the states of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Orissa and Assam, are performed with three-dimensional wooden figures that are manipulated with rods.
